Simulation Based Performance Comparison of Adhoc Routing Protocols
نویسندگان
چکیده
Ad Hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile hosts forming a temporary network without the aid of any centralized administration, in which individual nodes cooperate by forwarding packets to each other to allow nodes to communicate beyond direct wireless transmission range. Routing protocols of Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) use different approaches from existing Internet protocols because of dynamic topology, mobile host, distributed environment, less bandwidth, and less battery power. Adhoc routing protocols can be divided into two categories: table-driven (proactive schemes) and on-demand routing (reactive scheme) based on when and how the routes are discovered. In this paper, MANET routing protocols DSDV, AODV and DSR are compared using network simulator NS-2.34. KeywordsMANET, Routing Protocols, AODV, DSR, DSDV and Throughput.

Today, one of the new technologies in the modern era is Vehicular Ad-hoc Network which has takenenormous attention in the recent years. Because of rapid topology changing and frequent disconnectionmakes it difficult to design an efficient routing protocol for routing data between vehicles, called V2V orvehicle to vehicle communication and vehicle to roadside infrastructure, called V2I. متن کاملPerformance Comparison of Routing Protocols Based on Different Models in Mobile Adhoc Network
The main characteristics of Mobile Adhoc NETwork (MANET) are no infrastructure, no centralized administration and self-configuring networks. The primary motivation of MANET deployment is to increase portability, flexibility and mobility but, mobility causes an unpredictable change in topology and makes routing more difficult. Efficient dynamic routing is a research challenge in such networks. I...
متن کاملComparitive Analysis of Routing Protocols in Mobile Adhoc Networks
Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically form a network temporarily without any support of central administration. Moreover, every node in MANET moves arbitrarily making the multi-hop network topology to change randomly at unpredictable times. There are several familiar routing protocols like DSDV, AODV, ZRP, etc... which have been proposed for prov...

The wireless adhoc network is comprised of nodes (it can be static or mobile) with wireless radio interface. These nodes are connected among themselves without central infrastructure and are free to move. It is a multihop process because of the limited transmission range of energy constrained wireless nodes. Thus, in such a multihop network system each node (also known as router) is independent...
